Smith's Dictionary of Greek and Roman Biography and Mythology, Vol 2, 1867, p. 366: "Hedyle, am Iambic poetess, daughter of Moschine the Athenian and mother of Hedylus...She wrote a poem entitled Σκύλλα, from which a passage is cited by Athenaeus (vol vii. p. 297, b.)"
Brill's New Pauly: "According to Ath. 297a, the daughter of the Attic female iambic Moschine and the mother of Hedylus. This means that she wrote in the early 3rd cent. BC [1].
