"Cleobulus, Tyrant of Lindus (Rhodes), flourished in the 7th-6th cent. BC, considered to be one of the seven wise men [1].......Preserved is only a funerary epigram in hexameter for king Midas (Anth. Pal. 7,153 = GVI 1171a), quoted by Plato (Phaedr. 264d) and targeted by the satire of Simonides (PMG 581). A short poetic riddle in hexameters (Anth.
