but this seems to be disproved by the titles and contents of two additional epigrams, ascribed to him in the Vatican MS., which are addressed " to the Saviour," and which shew that their author was a Christian....."
Brill's New Pauly: "Poet of the 5th cent AD (was with Cyrus of Panopolis at the court of Theodosius II, cf. Evagrius Hist. Eccl. 1,19). Apart from a lost Πάτρια (Pátria), he wrote on Tarsus, Anazarbus, Berytus (Beirut) and Nicaea (schol. Anth. Pal. 1,19). These were probably used by Nonnus (cf. Nonnus, Dion. 41,155), seven epigrams (Anth. Pal. 1,19f.
