Brill's New Pauly: "Pseudo-Phocylides Hellenistic-Jewish author of a didactic poem, A didactic poem (230 verses) written between 100 BC [4. 55ff.] and AD 100 [3. 690], possibly in Alexandria [5. 193] and presumably originating from a Hellenistic-Jewish author ('Pseudo-P.') [1]. It is ascribed to the Milesian P. who lived in the 6th (or 7th) cent. BC. It combines borrowings from the Septuagint (esp.
