Colophon (apparently he also produced dithyrambs)....In total A. is said to have written 65
works and to have gained ten victories.....Still extant are 40 titles, of which a good third
make reference to mythical subjects. This fairly high percentage of mythical pieces assigns A.
to the earlier poets of the Middle Comedy,... " from Nesselrath, Heinz-Günther (Göttingen).
